Elijah Gutierrez is a California based photographer, cinematographer, and graphic designer. Based in the Central Valley and Bay Area, he has spent the last 8 years documenting the ascension of global combat sports icon Nate Diaz by providing unprecedented access into the ‘Diaz World’ beyond the cage. His still photography and detailed documentation has given audiences a backstage pass and insiders look into the life of one of the industry’s most enigmatic and sought after athletes.
Gutierrez has also carved out a niche by bringing visual portraits to California’s most celebrated subcultures. From skateparks to underground car shows, commercial shoots with Steph Curry or Lil’ Wayne and Jack Harlow concerts, Gutierrez has built a brand of storytelling through his signature dark tones and graphic imagery of the subjects in front of him.
